The Story Of The Best Night Out Ever. Sort Of.
In an effort to annoy / keep awake Matt, Charlie, Ant, Ben, Kieran and whomever, I present the following:
I had a wicked night out tonight, and I have chosen to express the story of the night in song. OK, so not in song per se but in songs. This is a bit of an interactive post, you see? I'm going to give you some random band / artist names, and a song title by that artist will give you a part of the night out. Remember, you can check my collection of music for hints, but I have a vast and wide-ranging musical knowledge. Ahem.
Prizes will be given* for correct answers posted on the right or emailed to me. I will post the full list sometime this weekend. Or, I could leave you in eternal torment without the correct answers. Mmmm, malevolence.
The Night - This isn't a clue, just a category.
Galleon - Well, yeah. Without this there is no end...
The Beatles - This sort of fits. Ish.
Goldfrapp - Well, near as dammit.
Gorillaz - It was very late by the time I got home.
Novy Vs Eniac - Not quite sure where to put this. Here seems best.
House Of Pain - a) it was played during the night; b) it fits.
Obie Trice - Pretty much the entire night...
The Girl - You know who you are, and you know who she is.
ZZ Top - Well, if you're going to wear a short skirt...
Sixpence None The Richer - A recurring theme for me, and I think for her too. But who ever knows what's going on inside their heads?
Kittie - Maybe not "always" but since I've met her, perhaps.
A Perfect Circle - It even repeats the line over and over for you.
Laze - Without doubt.
Candiria - Possibly, but I hope not.
Amber - The single word which applies.
Metallica - Too true.
Rammstein - No, it doesn't mean "I will".
Paffendorf - 3 words. Nothing else to add.
The Feelings
Olive - Easiest answer here so far.
Enrique Iglesias - Featuring Kelis = big give-away. The only lie I have ever told on here. Ever.
POD - This one could be difficult, do as much as you can to answer it...
Space Manoeuvres (sp?)
Space Manoeuvres (sp?) - What a great pairing, and soooo appropriate.
Amber - Same song, same word. Still appropriate.
Amen UK - Classic tune, classic feeling.
Scarface - Did this ever stop happening?
The Streets - If I had the (any?) confidence, then possibly.
Dizzee Rascal - Umm, yeah. And?
Blur - But do away with the plurals.
Tricky - Now this one is the perfect description. Try putting a comma between each word.
Jurgen Vries - It is for me.
Matt
Haste - If you can pick this one out, kudos. No hard feelings, yeah?
N.B. There aren't actually any prizes, save for my everlasting admiration for your musical knowledge. Someday you'll be as good as me...
