Randomness

Not a whole lot happening today, been a boring one. I made it out of bed before midday, for once, but didn't get started on any revision till nearly 4. This was because I was sitting in my kitchen, chatting with whoever came in. Seeing as there was a continuous cycle of people coming in and out, I wasn't bored at all, and it's been a while since I've chatted to a couple of the people I live with, so it was cool. Even when I sat down to revise, I didn't get much done. Less than an hour today, oh well.

Last night was a good laugh as well. About 15 of us went down to our new favourite pub in West Hampstead for a couple of drinks. It was such a nice day yesterday that we were able to stay outside in the beer garden till 11. Gotta love British weather when it's like that. After we got back, we figured that we'd get kicked out of our kitchen by security for being too loud, so a few of us went to Matt's room for a bit. That "bit" turned out to be until 3.30am... We weren't drinking any more, just talking about the most random stuff. Only 4 of us, including an American girl, but the conversation just flowed from one subject to the next without any breaks. i made a quick list when I woke up this morning of the sort of stuff we were talking about, so here goes (in no particular order):
Southend Airport
Military Testing
American / English Language
The Euro
British Monarchy (History / Future Of)
American Politics
Lunatic Asylums
Family History
Iraq War
WW II
My Dad's Job / RAF Career
Kristalnacht

The last one is the name of a big club night in Blackburn, where one of my mates is from. When he told me that, I was so taken aback and appalled. For those that don't know Kristalnacht (Crystal Night) was the night in Nazi Germany when the Jewish population was first set on / taken to concentration camps. Thousands of Jews died that night, and millions did later in concentration camps. Now, I'm not Jewish, but I'm astounded that a club can call a special night that. And this is the 7th annual one! Surely somebody else has taken offence at that before?

Oh, and I want a new digital camera. So far I'm taken with the Oregon DS9300, the Olympus C220, the Samsung Digimax 230 and the Nikon Coolpix 2100. Mmmm, new digital camera. Think that I may have to talk my dad into letting me get one though. I haven't told him yet that I lost my old one. In October. Ooops. I'll be taking loads more pictures if and when I get this new camera, so expect the gallery to be expanding exponentially...

Moby - Natural Blues
Dimmu Borgir - Reptile
Papa Roach - Dead Cell
Crazy Town - Only When I'm Drunk
(Hate to think of what my lyrics would be for that song...
