Is it a bad thing to be in a pub less than half an hour after getting out of bed? That was what happened yesterday. I guess this is because I have an addiction.
An addiction to FOOTBALL, no less.
It must be to football, because I wasn't on the beer. Even I struggle to have a beer before I've had breakfast. Nope, it was cokes all the way through the match. I wish I hadn't bothered going actually, because it was one of the worst games I've ever had the displeasure of watching. Birmingham were abysmal, and Arsenal weren't a whole lot better.
On the subject of alcohol, I must say in my defence that I'm really not a big drinker. I don't drink every day, I barely even drink every week. The last drop of alcohol that passed my lips was on Monday evening, which is, erm, 6 days ago. I used to think that I was a pretty big drinker, but some of my housemates put me to shame. And they wonder why they have no money come the end of each semester. Meh, who am I to criticise? I spank my money up on DVDs at the moment.
Speaking of money, that was about the only productive thing I managed to achieve yesterday: 2 hours or so going through the household account and bills to work out how much each of my housemates (and myself) have to pay for last term's bills and other shit. Deep, deep joy. Looking at a screen full of numbers and a couple of sheets of A4 filled with sums is not my idea of fun, even though I do have a flair for maths (if I may say so myself).
And no, I still didn't do any revision, even though I told myself that I was absolutely certain to do some. I'm struggling so much to find the motivation to start, for reasons that I can't quite fathom. I need to get my ass into gear.
So what did I do last night? I sat up until gone 3am, watching Crash on the TV. That's a fucked up film, incredibly so. I hadn't seen it before, although I'd heard all about it many times. I'm not quite sure what to say about, it was so strange and fucked up. The cinematography was very inventive and cool, although some of the acting was a little overdone. One scene does spring to mind: the sickest thing I've ever seen on celluloid (well, that immediately springs to mind). It's the scene where the main guy (James?) fucks one of the women in a huge wound / scar on the back of her leg. There's something inherently wrong with that, something very wrong.
And now it is today, Sunday. I really, really intend to do some revision today, but then one of my housemates has told me that a number of them are going to play a bit of football a little later on. Is the whole world trying to stop me from doing this revision and passing these exams? Or is it just my lack of a conscience / motivating factor?
I'll go with the latter and blame myself.
